After-School Clubs
ART CLUB
This term we are offering the opportunity for KS1 to come along to our Art Club on a Monday. During Art Club the children have been colour mixing using corks instead of paint brushes. They have also used primary colours to make secondary ones. They have painted trees using different shades of green and orange. They have also took their pencils for a walk to help them make an abstract design and used pencil crayons to colour.
STEM LEGO CLUB
This term we are offering an exciting new club for our Year 3 and 4 children to come along to our STEM Lego After School Club on a Monday. In this club children are training to become the future engineers. If your child is interested in this club, it will involve them using their problem solving skills to construct solutions using Lego. Below are a few photographs to show how hard our engineers have been working.
KS2 FOOTBALL CLUB
This term we are offering the opportunity for KS2 to come along to our Football After School Club on a Monday. The children are taking part in a range of fun and exciting drills to learn various skills and how to develop tactics. They are also enjoying playing small sided matches where they are learning how to play by the rules, how to work together as a team, but more importantly how to show good sportsmanship. Our KS2 football team are part of the Reddish School cluster league where they play matches home and away against other primary schools in the local area. COOKING CLUB
DODGEBALL CLUB
This term we are offering the opportunity for KS2 to come along to our Dodgeball After School Club on a Wednesday. The children are enjoying learning various skills, learning how to develop tactics and playing by the rules, but most importantly how to work together as a team. YOUNG VOICES CHOIR
Our Young Voices choir is for children in KS2, who come together every year at the start of September after school on a Wednesday, to practise songs and dances for a very special concert at the Manchester arena. Please see photographs below of our children rehearsing for the concert in May 2021!
WHITEHILL SAPPHIRES
At Whitehill we have two Cheerleading teams our KS1 Poms and KS2 Poms who come together every year at the start of September after school on a Thursday, to work together as a team to practise their new routine for a very special competition at the Manchester Velodrome. Please see photographs below of our children rehearsing for the UKCA competition in June 2021!
