Class Information
P.E.
Indoor PE - Thursday
Outdoor PE - Friday
Please could the children have a PE kit in school all week so that they are prepared for lessons. The P.E Kit should include black shorts, joggers/leggings, white t-shirt, zip up jumper and pumps/trainers. Please note that jewellery, should not be worn to school to prevent injury in P.E. Children with long hair will need a hair tie for P.E.
Forest School
Our Forest School day is Tuesday every week. On this day, your child must come to school wearing their Forest School clothing and footwear but please provide a change of footwear for the rest of the day as it can get rather wet and muddy up there. Can you please make sure that your child is wearing a long sleeved top and pants that cover the whole of their legs. For footwear children can wear wellies or an old pair of trainers. Please remember that children must wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Homework
Reading
The expectation is that your child reads on a daily basis both at home and at school. Your child will be provided with a reading book and reading record. Reading books are changed twice a week on a Tuesday and Friday. Reading with your child at home daily will support their comprehension, language, concentration and phoneme/grapheme recognition.
Class Dojo
Class Dojo is our way for teachers to encourage pupils and contact parents about their child's progress in class. It can be used online or downloaded as an app on iOS and Android devices. Please ask if you require a copy of your log in. We will be using this in class alongside our Good to be Green system. We will discuss the ways in which points are gained or lost during circle times to ensure that it fits in with our behaviour policy. Children can access at home to personalise their avatars.
If you need to pass on a message, this can be done through Class Dojo. If you have concerns or need a chat, then send a message through Dojo or the school office and I will phone you when I can.
Snack
Our playtime tuck shop sells breadsticks and rice cakes. Breadsticks cost 10p each and rice cakes 20p each. We will still offer a range of free fruit for all children. If possible, please send the correct change.
If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to ask or send a message on Dojo.
