Football Team

We are really proud of our girls, who were runners up after a very exciting morning of football on Monday 11th February 2019. The girls played: 7 matches, 90 minutes of football, won all the qualifying matches, scored 41 goals in total and conceded just 5! In the final, we moved to extra time, but unfortunately managed to conceded two of our goals.  It is such an achievement to be ranked second in the whole North West! Well done girls - we are very proud of you!

On Thursday 17th of January 2019, a group of children from year 5 and 6 were selected to play in a Premier League Primary Stars Football Tournament at Manchester United's old training ground: The Cliff. They played 4 matches against other teams across Manchester and showed fantastic team spirit. They all represented Whitehill highly and had a brilliant time.

On the 5th December 2018, our girls football team took part in The National League Girls under 11s School Cup 2019 tournament. The girls showed an amazing team performance and reached it to the finals and won! They won all 6 matches. We won one of the matches 8-0! I would like to congratulate the girls on winning the tournament but it doesn't stop there. They are now going on to represent Stockport County Community Foundation in The North West Under 11s Schools Cup Regional Finals.

On the 12th October our Y3 football team went to Manchester City to play in tournament against some other schools from Greater Manchester.  The boys showed excellent sportsmanship and played extremely well as a team resulting in them reaching the finals and WINNING!!!  We are so proud of you all.

On the 23rd November our Y1 football team went to Manchester City to play in a small tournament against some other schools from Greater Manchester.  The children had a wonderful time and reached the quarter finals.  Well done!!

On the 5th December our Y5/6 girl's football team took part in the U11's Power league cup.
